The primary goals of softball are to have fun, to instruct children in the fundamentals of softball, and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Fundamentals to be emphasized are hitting, base running, fielding, throwing and good sportsmanship.

** With Little League age rules, some kids may have the option to register for 2 different age groups (it will only allow you to register for one). Please refer to our division summary page to make the best decision for your child based on his skill level, experience and age. This is important for the safety of the kids and also to make sure they have a fun year learning baseball and softball. Email us with any questions or if your child falls in between two divisions and you'd like your child to play up.

T-ball: ages 4-6

You will have the ability to indicate a preference for your daughter to play on a GIRLS ONLY or CO-ED team. All t-ball divisions will play with a baseball and have the same rules.

 

Softball (CP/AA use an 11" softball, Majors-Seniors use a 12" softball):

Coach Pitch: ages 6-8

AA Minors: ages 8-10

Majors: ages 11-12

Juniors: ages 13-14

Seniors: ages 15-16 *Girls will play within District 9 League out of Georgetown LL*

Assessments will be held February 8 for our drafted divisions (Minor, Majors). This helps us create equal teams!

Registration closes FEBRUARY 5 for Minors and Majors.

Registration closes FEBRUARY 25 for Coach Pitch.

Registration closes MARCH 15 for Tee Ball & Juniors.

Juniors and Seniors divisions begin their seasons AFTER the 78ers or high school seasons end.

There are no refunds once you have signed your player up.

T-ball: ages 4-6

**We offer baseball teams, softball teams, and co-ed teams! The rules of play are the same for all tball divisions. All t-ball teams will use a baseball**

 

Baseball:

Coach Pitch: ages 6-8

AA Minors: ages 8-10

AAA Minors: age 11, roster filled with drafted players age 10

Majors: age 12, roster filled with drafted players age 11 (RLL Board reserves the right to allow 10-year-olds to be drafted into Majors)

Juniors: age 13-14 (parents can request their 12 yo to play this division)

Seniors: ages 15-16

 All AA Minors teams and older are drafted teams. Assessments will be held February 8 and this will help us to create more equally drafted teams.

Tball registration will close March 15.

Coach Pitch registration will close February 25.

When registering your child, a division will automatically be given based on LL age: Majors (12 year olds ONLY) and Minors (8-11 year olds ONLY). Players will be moved to their appropriate divisions once drafted. ALL Majors and Minors teams are drafted. There will also be a AAA division.

***JUNIORS & SENIORS BASEBALL DIVISIONS (Registration closes MAR 15 for Juniors and APR 29 for Seniors).

All 13-14 year olds will be drafted onto a Juniors team (sometimes these are combined with other leagues if needed to make a complete team).

All 15 and 16 year olds will be placed on a Seniors team in our District pending enrollment numbers. Seniors will automatically be put on a waitlist and will not be charged a playing fee until placed on a team. We will be in touch as registration progresses!
