RLL Headquarters will be closed over spring break March 31-April 10  We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but after MONTHS of working hard to put this season together, we’re ready for a break! We love our RLL families, but as a volunteer board, we’d like to enjoy this time with our families and without any RLL tasks interfering. Any emails or Facebook messages will be answered when break is over.

Medical Release Form  medical_release_form.pdf ( Print this form, fill it out, then hand it to your coach at the first practice. Your coach will need a form for every player on hand at practices and games in the event of an injury, accident or emergency!

Thank your child’s coach!!! Every single coach at RLL is a volunteer!! We have 70 teams (812 players), and almost every team has 3 coaches. Several coaches volunteered themselves upon registering their children, several volunteered after our desperate pleas for help, and some were voluntold! It’s no easy task taking on a team of 10-12 kids at different ages, stages, and levels of play. It takes a special person to coach, and a little gratitude, support and encouragement goes a long way.

Cancellations Due to Weather/Field Conditions We will email as soon as a decision has been made to CANCEL any practices or games due to weather or field conditions. A decision will be made daily by 4:30 pm.

Field conditions for the week of March 28: The fields are still very wet in both the infield and outfields. The frost layer is still in a lot of the clay, especially in the batter's boxes and pitching mounds. For this reason, DO NOT GO ON THE PITCHING MOUNDS OR BATTERS BOXES. They will be very soft and will make a huge job to reset them if they are disturbed.  You are welcome to use the infield and outfield, just stay out of the areas mentioned above.  The tarps for the pitching mounds should stay on and not be moved.  Please advise your players of this first thing at practice. We appreciate your adherence to this advisement.

Seniors  Registration stays open until mid April. Plenty of time for you guys!!

Juniors We have coaches! Practice schedules should be available soon! Rosters are posted on Log into your account to access this information! Bring your medical release form to the first practice for your coach.

Intermediates  Rosters and practice schedules are available on Log into your account to access this information! Bring your medical release form to your first practice for your coach.

Coach Pitch, Player Pitch Minors-Majors Divisions  Rosters and practice schedules are available on Log into your account to access this information! Bring your medical release form to your first practice for your coach.

Tball Families  Rosters are posted, and practice schedules will be available by Wednesday evening. You will be able to access this information in your account at! Please keep in mind we do not honor teammate requests or coach requests! Bring your medical release form to your first practice for your coach. Coaches: Equipment pickup for tball will be announced as soon as we receive the last of the equipment shipment.

What equipment does my player need? Each player will need to have his or her own ball glove, baseball/softball pants (a coach may specify the primary color for your team), and rubber soled cleats (Intermediates and above can wear metal cleats). Rockford Little League will provide jerseys and hats for baseball players and jerseys and headbands for softball players.  RLL will provide team helmets, bats, and catching equipment.  Players are welcome to bring their own of these items as well, if preferred. If a family chooses to buy their own bat, all bats need to be USA approved bats and we suggest you buy the 2 5/8" barrel (versus a skinnier one).  You can also ask your child's coach for more specific help on the proper length and weight. Many of our tball kids prefer to wear leggings and tennis shoes, and that is appropriate for that age group.

Coaches Corner   RLL spent some serious money this season and we have lots of new equipment, so be prepared to sign out your equipment. At the end of the season, you will be liable for returning everything you signed out, right down to your balls! Equipment pickup for tball will be announced as soon as we receive the last of the equipment shipment. As rosters are posted, please make sure you reach out and introduce yourself to your team and share your practice schedule. Be on the lookout for a Signup Genuis link coming out soon. It will give you all the picture day information, and you will need to sign up for a slot to your team. If you plan on holding any extra practices for your team, please be sure you are on the schedule. You may not practice on any fields without permission! Vince Scheffler is your coaching coordinator; he can be reached at [email protected] should you have any questions.

We could use a couple more sponsors! Can your business support RLL? You can sponsor a player, a team, multiple teams even, or have a banner hung at our fields and it's great advertising for your business! Rockford Little League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. That means your contribution is tax deductible. It’s an absolutely affordable way to support a local league and get a lot of advertising for your business!

Your sponsorship does so many things for RLL. It helps us keep registration costs from rising. It allows us to put money into the fields to keep them maintained and safe for our kids. New equipment is arriving to replace a lot of the old, nasty, broken equipment that's been used for nearly a decade...all thanks to the businesses that invest in the kids and community as a sponsor. Email us at [email protected] if you’d like more information or find more information at this link

Once again, RLL Headquarters will be closed March 31-April 10 for spring break. All emails will be answered beginning on the 11th!
