2026 Season Updates
Although the season is still a few months away, there is already a lot of activity happening at Rockford Little League as we prepare for the upcoming season. Thank you for being part of our league—we’re excited to kick things off soon.
Important Dates
- February 17: Majors Draft, Coaching Clinic & Safety Meetings (SB,BB) @ RPS Freshman Center
- February 20 AAA Draft, Coaching Clinic & Safety Meetings (SB, BB) @ RPS East Rockford Middle School
- February 24 -AA Draft, Coaching Clinic & Safety Meetings (SB, BB) @ RPS Freshman Center
- February 27: Registration Closes Coach Pitch
- March 13: Registration Closes T-bal, Juniors
- March 14: Equipment Pick-up
- March 16: Practices Begin (Coach Pitch-Majors)
- March 17: Board Meeting
- March 21– Spring Cleanup, Rain date – March 22
- March 30 – Coaching Clinic & Safety Meetings (T-bal, Juniors)
Where are games played?
Games are played at East Rockford Middle School 8615 9 Mile Rd., Rockford, MI 49341
Some T-Ball games will be played at River Valley Field 350 North Main Street, Rockford, MI 49341
Equipment Information
To help families prepare, below is a breakdown of equipment needs for the season.
Required Player Equipment:
- Baseball glove
- Baseball pants (traditionally white, black, or gray)
- Rubber-soled cleats
Encouraged
- Batting helmet
- Defensive face masks are not universally required by Little League International rules for softball players in the field, but they are highly recommended, particularly for infielders.
Provided by Rockford Little League
- Bats (players may bring their own if preferred)
- Team helmets
- Catcher’s equipment
- Jerseys
- Hats (baseball)
If you have difficulty obtaining equipment, please let us know. We want every child to have a positive experience and the tools they need to be successful.
